Bountiful promise of new day

So many are sleeping,

They don’t know what they’re missing

I’m off to get my life on its way

Warm rays nurturing the land

So many are working

The heat feels good on my hands

Don’t miss the sunset

Vibrant colors, the whole sky aflame

So many are busy

And take it for granted

Daily occurrence, I watch it the same

Don’t miss the moonrise

Such a glorious unheralded event

So many are chasing

The illusion of entertainment

They don’t know what they missed

Don’t miss the night

The cool air caressing your skin

So many are sleeping
